Elevating life, right where you live.

We know the value of aging in place.

Remaining in familiar surroundings can promote better physical and mental health outcomes. It can reduce the risk of depression and anxiety often associated with moving to unfamiliar environments.

For older populations, aging in place allows for maintenance of autonomy, dignity, and sense of control over their lives, leading to an improved quality of life.

We thrive in community and social connections are crucial for emotional well-being. Aging in place enables older adults to maintain social connections with friends, family, and neighbors.

In many cases, aging in place can be more cost-effective than moving to an assistive living facility or nursing home, especially when home modifications and support services are less expensive than institutional care.

About the therapist

Elise Stanislav, OTR/L, CAPS (she/her)

I have worked as an occupational therapist in various clinical settings, including early intervention, outpatient pediatrics, a custom wheelchair and specialized assistive technology clinic, skilled nursing, acute care, and acute inpatient rehabilitation. My experience includes working with individuals of all ages with diverse neurological, musculoskeletal, and genetic disorders, as well as various illnesses and injuries.

In addition to my clinical work, I have a background in home renovations and started this endeavor by assessing and recommending home modifications for family and friends. I am a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) through the National Association of Home Builders.

I am passionate about helping my clients return to meaningful activities and increase their independence by making their environments more accessible. I am committed to inclusivity, equity, and integrity in all aspects of my work.

Looking forward for the opportunity to work with you!
